Breaking into beauty

It's extremely hard to become someone in the fashion and beauty industry. I'm just starting out, and I already know how tough it will be. In order to be on top of the ball, you have to keep updated with everything in that industry and you have to be open to learning new things along with taking criticism. If you aren't okay with hearing criticism, then it will be hard. 

    What I like to do is read and research, I've read loads of beauty books, and everything I learn about, I end up researching. If I hear about something in a salon, I'll research it. A lot of things you learn now will show up at a job you might be working at someday. Whenever I go into a Chapters, I head straight to the beauty section. Keeping up with industry is super important! 

    My suggestion, research as much as you can, and get people's opinions as much as possible. Meet people, log it. Meet as many photographers, directors etc. as possible. It will help a lot.

Remember put your mind to something, and anything is possible.
